Blackdown Tableland Second day - Afternoon For the afternoon walk we chose the Mimosa Culture Track.
It begins with an easy walk through the old cattle yards. You will
learn how the first settlers came with their stock and how due to the soil composition
they had to go back down. Then it continues near Mimosa Creek, going upstream through several
vegetation types to an Aboriginal art site. Signs posted all along the way show and
explain the plants used by the Aboriginal people. It is an easy walk, very nice and interesting. It is also a very good opportunity to discover the variety of the local vegetation and flowers. There are two other walks more difficult to access. A 4WD vehicle is needed to access them via the Loop Road: the Stony Creek Falls and the Charlevue Lookout.
